Culligan Modernity uses Culligan's patented technologies such as: counter-current resin regeneration, salt consumption optimisation and proportional regeneration allowing you to save up to 46% more water and electricity than a traditional softener.
Culligan's proportional regeneration technology then allows the softener to regenerate only the part of the resin bed that is exhausted, which minimises the salt and water consumption required for regeneration.
Culligan's Dial-a-Softness® control system allows the choice of water hardness at the service without any additional external mixing devices. Culligan's exclusive Soft-Minder® monitors daily water use by flow meter and offers an advanced diagnostic programme.
Finally, the unique Modernity valve, which uses motor-driven pistons, offers more reliability than traditional rotary valves. The brine container made of corrosion-proof components and the Duble-Safe system that monitors the level and quality of the brine ensure perfect functionality.
In addition, an automatic by-pass system is already installed on the Modernity valve so that untreated water can be supplied to the service even when the softener is in regeneration.

BYPASS KIT

The bypass kit allows you to bypass the system during certain domestic operations that do not require treated water: such as innaffing gardens and vegetable gardens. The mechanical filter inside the bypass is able to retain residual undissolved materials in the water.

COUNTERCURRENT ION EXCHANGE RESIN CONTAINER

The passage of water over the resins causes softening thanks to the ion exchange that takes place between the calcium and magnesium ions present in the water, with the sodium ions present on the resin. The innovative countercurrent regeneration technology guarantees high resin yield.

SALT TANK

The brine that forms in the salt container serves for the regeneration of the resins. The brine suction valve, which fills the salt container, is equipped with a safety float. The salt container is fitted with an 'overflow' connection, which, connected to the drain, prevents water from escaping from the salt container.

ACQUA SAFE

What is it?

An exclusive and innovative automatic softener disinfection system that makes it compliant with Italian Ministerial Decree 25/2012, guaranteeing the microbiological quality of outgoing water that complies with the parameters described in the D. Leg. 31/2001. The system is tested by the University of Bologna, compared to other systems and found to be the most suitable.

How does it work?

The 'static chlorination' method is achieved by placing the electrolytic cell in the brine inside the salt container. Its activation every 4 hours allows for a higher production of chlorine; achieving a higher efficiency of sanification during regeneration, compared to 'dynamic chlorination' systems on the market.

AQUA STOP

This optional device works in addition to the standard anti-flooding system to provide even greater safety in detecting and stopping water leaks. Even greater safety in detecting and stopping water leaks.
